Glad I have insurance, cause I am preetty sure that the Toilet I mean Toledo Police will never find this miscreant, Cops took 45 minuted to arrive even the fact that there were injuries involved, they basically told me they could not do much since it's a misdemeanor. Plenty of eyewitness and he left his front tags at the scene.
Not holding my breath on this one, just hoping to get the apraiser to hopefully give me some good news and get it repaired, they are coming this week.
Cant wait to get out of this Sh1t hole next year and move somewhere the cops give a damm.

What was he driving?

A mini van I could not tell you brand as it happened so fast and went the other way, I did not get a good look at it. It was blue with the bottom half silver, maybe a Ford?

Good thing there were no serious injuries. I hope the asshat caught!!

Wow man that's really BS .....I hate people that do that hope things can be fixed

That sucks big time! Sorry to hear it.
What insurance company do you have?

.

I hate this kind of news. Wow a misdemeanor... Hear in CA I'm pretty sure all hit and runs are a felony. At least his tags got left behind that means at least the vehicle can be traced to someone. As bad as the damage to your car is, that mini van did not get too far. Good luck with the popo and the insurance. They will probably want to total it unless you have classic car insurance.

Bring a personal lawsuit against this guy in Claims court to gain any other funds for damage to your vehicle.......... Even if another driver caused the damage, you have the option to file the claim with your own insurer if you have purchased the appropriate coverage ..... I hope you have protection called "guaranteed value" also known as "agreed value" where you determine the full replacement value of your classic car in the event of a total loss. Good luck ...........

But if you leave the scene of an accident with injuries wouldn't that upgrade it to a felony...that's BS. LYNCH MOB THERE A$$

should not be a misdemenor if injury's & hit-and-run were involved

Sorry to see your mishap, but glad you're OK. Please keep us abreast on the developments, with the insurance claim & the repairs.

So sorry...
Do a "little research"
Try to find "Local establishments" that have video of the incident.

PS: I'm sure it is a "Felony"
It's a "Hit and Run"
Did you get the plate?
The "videos" should have a pic of the plates if you can find vid.

From Ohio DMV:
(B) Whoever violates division (A) of this section is guilty of failure to stop after a nonpublic road accident, a misdemeanor of the first degree. If the violation results in serious physical harm to a person, failure to stop after a nonpublic road accident is a felony of the fifth degree. If the violation results in the death of a person, failure to stop after a nonpublic road accident is a felony of the third degree. The court, in addition to any other penalties provided by law, shall impose upon the offender a class five suspension of the offender's driver's license, commercial driver's license, temporary instruction permit, probationary license, or nonresident operating privilege from the range specified in division (A)(5) of section 4510.02 of the Revised Code. No judge shall suspend the first six months of suspension of an offender's license, permit, or privilege required by this division.

So;
The Cops are correct BUT, it is a serious infraction.

Dam shame another of the too few 70 verts down for the count. Sure hope it can be saved.
