Car got hit by F'ing Hit&Run A-Hole

Those pics make me sick. I was just thinking about taking a cruise out but I wanted to see what was going on around here first that just changed my mind I think I'll just let it sit tonight.
hope they get the scum! good luck!

There is an example of what's wrong with CA ^^^^^ That sucks big time, wishing you the best!!

It ain't just Calif. either, it's all the coastal regions, probably Mass. too & where there is a big % of illegals/un-documented workers, hired illegally & regularly driving on our roadways....

UPDATE.

Talked to the adjuster and the body shop sent them the quote so I am hoping we can come up
with a final number, but the adjuster threw in the bad word "totaled" I said NO this car can be fixed since all the parts are available new except for the front fender which I think it's going to be a bitch to find at least a decent one, I even called AMD to see if they were thinking of producing them and they flatly said no they will not since the car is a 1 year only it does not make sence to spend the money on tooling. What burns me up is that I had a set of fenders I carried around for years and sold them 2 years ago, I thought I would never need them, Oh boy what a mistake.
As far as the cretine that ran away like a pussy, well the Toledo Keystone Cops have not even contacted me, luckily I have friends that work at a different agency( I will not disclose) they looked this guy up and it turns out he has had Multiple traffic violations and has had his share of other criminal activity dating back over 40 years and is still allowed to wreck havoc where ever he pleases. Well my friends on this unamed GOVT' force are going to do what they can if only maybe to rattle his cage, but once again this is a local police matter. Who knows the Toledo cops may get their heads out of their A$$ and actually redeem themselves and actually do something, cause if they don't all our rights are violated. Someone mentioned I should sue this idiot but like the old saying goes "You cannot squeeze blood out of a turnip" And this Turnip probably got nothing to give.
Bottom line I want my car fixed and not have to go thru a lot of red tape and BS with my insurance company.
Will update tomorrow.
Thanks to all for your concern.

Many insurance companies will sell you your totaled car back to you for about 25% of the totaled value. For instance, if insured for $20k and it is totaled, they may offer you $15k and you keep the car. Then, you can fix it yourself. Worth a try if the insist on totaling it.

68 Sport, that is just disgusting and worthy of a rant in the political section!!!

Sorry man, know how you feel, I was sideswiped by a guy several years ago in a station wagon full of kids, cops told me he was an illegal alien with no money and no insurance, cop said you can have him arrested but he has nothing so it wont do you a bit of good. I paid my deductible and my uninsured motorist coverage paid the rest....Good luck!

This sounds like a good time to rattle the mayors cage and the chief of police maybe even contact a local paper about the lack of Police effort in stopping this guy from doing harm to more people. Good luck.

BTW what year model of Mopar was it. Might get lucky out west here with a part or two

Threads like this almost make me want to join that political forum !!! Damn I need to stay out it's pissing me off everytime I open it

And now they want to give them license? This country is to hell in a handbasket. Undocumented people make up probably 90% of all big wrecks. I say spend the tax money on more prisons and arrest these drunk *** illegals or ship them to guantanamo bay just like terrorist.

Would the title be stamped 'salvage' if this ended up happening?

Hard to say, every state is different, but more than likely it would have a salvage title. As long as its fixed correctly the branded title wouldn't bother me.
Hell, most of the restos should have a salvage title. ha ha ha

What's with the "nonpublic road accident" condition? It sounds like these apply to accidents on private roads. What's the rule for accidents on public roads?

Good queastion "Bru"
So far, all I can find is something about "liabilities" on Non-Public roads, ie; roads that are not maintained by the city or county and do not provide some of the following;
1. Adequate lighting (street lights for dark hours)
2. Sufficient and safe paved or "extremely well maintained" gravel/dirt roads to include a "safe shoulder"
3. Adequate signs to alert drivers of upcoming and common road changes (signs for speed limits/STOP/YEILD/curves/intersections etc)

I wonder if it could be parking lots or some other privately owned road or properties... just thinking outloud

Yeah,
The "Laws" are just: page after page and the wording is dry.
But, it's all "loopholes".

In my opinion, "he's got a case"
mont1le should have enough "ammo" to go after and sue the individuals...
PER the Ohio DMV rules as stated in my first (2nd ?) post.

I'm not good enough at telling the difference in the B bodies yet. All I could tell you is it was a B body, and not an A body but the year and model I would not guess at. I still get super birds and Daytona's mixed up.

And if they have nothing what's the point not to mention the lawyers expenses?
