Car is back from the resto shop-engine in-video

Basically the whole build to get to were it's at now? I'm all appart waiting for some engine gaskets to begin porting and striped down to the back seats with about $26,000 in parts staged to go on I have to get my pictures on here I'm building the original 318 motor with aftermarket 340 parts but look stock I thought about the 273 dress up but my original parts just needed paint and couldn't find the 273 stuff or enough of it you're the closest to my style of keeping it a sleeper

Very nice and that 360 is deceiving. :headbang:

I just bought the car last year as basically a fresh resto with an original drivetrain . I knew I was going to spend the extra money to make it the way I wanted. So as far as this winters upgrades-here is the break down:
I have about 5k into the engine-I started with a new reman motor and bought the cam kit and adjustable valve train, bought a '68 340 intake, then with all new parts right down to the TTi headers, to the starter, new carb, coil, electronic ignition, alternator, the 273 valve covers and breather(not cheap). I dropped another several(several) thousand on the cost of having the motor broke in on a stand, new brake lines, disk brake conversion, suspension rebuild, engine compartment detailing, new rad , TTi exhaust , new wheels and tires etc..
Am I happy with how it turned out-YES!

So your value of $26k if that includes the car is not outrageous

If it makes you happy and you can afford it-the cost is something that only matters to you!
Hope you enjoy the car when it done.
