With a great Golden Handshake deal...Resigned today.
Hope for the future?
Carlos met with the Chicago dealers and then the Detroit dealers, oh to be a fly on the wall in those rooms! I heard he got an earful. I feel for you, being a tech for mpar used to be the top of the mountain, now they are cutting warranty times and putting out a 2cd rate quality product. Let us go back to us and fiat, where all the cool stuff came from. Get rid of the french and UK, let the americans run the company. The dealers also got the shaft! I will be back there tomorrow morning working on these POS they have been building and trying to pass off as Pentastar vehicles . Hopefully they figure something out soon cuz at the dealerships it’s looking pretty bleak. Reminds me of 06-08 all over again
How about employing an American who knows how to build and sell cars to Americans?
(Hint: we don't want to buy pougoets, citroëns, fiats or alfas!).
I went to the Stealership a couple of weeks ago to get my Oil Changed on my 2019 Ram 1500. While they had the car I told them that the power Steering (electric Power Steering) was groaning at low speeds when I turned Right. The lady called me and said there was a TSB to fix the steering and all I needed was a re-flash of the Steering computer. I said how much? She says $600.. I said $600 for a computer re-flash, That's BS. she goes let me see if I can get the price down. Calls me back and says they can do it for $200. I'm like go ahead and do it. When I get the bill it says $240 for the re-flash and it mostly was labor cost plus a $1.00 gas fee. I asked whet the one buck gas fee was for and she said its for parts delivery. I'm like you charge me a 1 buck fee for a electronic computer re-flash? I looked at the TSB and it said it takes 5 minutes and they charged me for 2 hours labor. What a crooked mess and they wonder why no one wants to buy their cars..I recently had my Jeep Grand Cherokee at the local Dodge store for an oil change. To kill time, I toured the new car lot, looking at vehicle prices. I noticed a Hornet R/T at $61,000 Can.!!! For another $6,000, I could buy a Durango. The lot had about 10 Hornets sitting there. They were $15,000-$20,000 more expensive than I thought they would be!
