Carpenters Special - 69 bee clone bruiser

This is an incredible build and the attention to detail is truly amazing. I hope mine turns out half a good as this one.

I have also changed my mind on the color and have had this option on the back burner before I decided on the last color. This has been the hardest part of the whole project. What do you think of my choice.

Awesome job you are doing. Did you ever find out what color this is?

:icon_thumright:well since my last visit I see you have been very busy, some very nice work there, thanks for keeping us up to date ,:headbang:

Hunt2elk, I have not found the owner or anyone that could tell me so far. I am going to take the pic to the paint supplier and see what they come up with.
Thanks for the comments guys.

it looks like a House of Kolurs, almost a candy type of 3 stage paint job on that Studey, dark gold base, candy tangerine second several coats for the darkness & an orange or gold pearl third step mixed in the clear or something along those lines... cool color for sure

Well, it is finally a roller. Still have to put the motor and tranny in and add some wait here and there to simulate missing parts so I can
check final ride height.

it's come a long way, it's looken' good, keep up the good work..

Looking great, cant wait to see the color on it!

had time today after work to make my own valley plate, just need to finish the middle piece and then Monday I need to pic up another milling bit with a rounded tip. It took a little longer to do the milling because the only bit I had that I could use was a 1/2" and the 2" bit I don't have the insert piece for it.

Too much to do and not enough time to do it

Wow! Car is looking awesome! Good job on the on the valley plate!

I finished the valley plate and will just leave it as is and put on a clear coat. I made it so the gap between the heads and the plate
are not big 1/4"- 5/16" like the indy plate.

I finally got the motor assembled and next week I will try and get it in the car to check for ride height and then in a couple weeks I will take it in for dyno tuning. I still need to get the distributor pump drive and plugs and need to make up the plug wires. Also I bought a CSR billet aluminum thermostat housing from a member on moparts and was told it was for a 440 and lo and behold it does not fit, the opening is to small and the thermostat falls in to the opening of the water pump housing. So now I have to spend $60 for a meziere unit. Made the brackets for lifting as well.
