We’ve had several cats. They were pretty easy to teach to stay off the counters. Usually involved a cat tree and scolding when they attempted it. Cats are intensely loyal to “the one “ person that it trusts most. Current cat was rescued from a feral colony of some idiot who let them breed uncontrollably. She has a bit of a prickly personality so we nick-named her “PSK” . The P is for Pretty, the K is for Kitty, and the S rhymes. She’s mellowing out over time, she’s about 3 now. I amazed at how intelligent she is. Our yellow lab would love to play chase with her, and she knows it, but she has a definite safe boundary.

Spent my lunch break outside to try and get some sun and saw CrazyHobo guarding the car.

Took our dog Cora to the vet to have her dew claws removed. She was wacked on pain killers for about a day. At one point in her stoned state she decided that she wanted to be loved, like RIGHT NOW! So she staggers over to me and flops herself down, nearly squashing Chika, the Mexican cat who was not amused.
Chika has been like a nurse to Cora, constantly checking on her. The other day Cora had flopped on me and I was playing dog bongos on her. Chika gave a loud shriek and ran over, thinking I was harming Cora.
