Trying to figure out where the center of gravity would be on my 65 Dodge, reason is I have an opportunity to get a great deal on a new 16 foot BigTex flatbed trailer for it and wondering if it would hang over too far in the rear.

Here's a good site for your OEM specs:

Overhang is no biggie - just load it facing front. Towed this load 450 miles last year - did the 70 MPH speed limit all day and hardly knew it was back there. Was as much fun towing as it was getting Grandpa's wagon to restore.

Scaled the wagon yesterday - surprisingly with me in it and full of fuel, the weight distribution was 50/50. It scaled 4,080 with 2,040 over the front axle. (318 poly and 727 auto). So CG = Dead center of my wheel base.

For a sedan a bit ahead of that, since the wagon has more length and weight to the rear. The wagon has the same wheel base as the sedans. Scale it at your local concrete, sand and gravel pit to be sure.

Good towing tips and video on the U-Haul site:
