That’s interesting. I’ve heard two schools of thought on that - yours and that you ideally change it when it’s been sitting a while so the oil is all drained down into the pan.Good thing they let the car cool down before changing the oil...I change mine when the engine is still warm so the oil flows better and drains faster. Ouch...
I usually run it real good and let it set for awhile. Even warm flows better than cold. Like everything, ask, and you'll get different responses. I've done it both ways. We're both right!! Great video!
Had to make a pair of low rise ramps for my youngest's Pitiful Thing Cruiser. And was glad she got rid of that pos!Amsoil claims to GO to heat, so I drain stone cold in the morning. Stone being 60F ambient.
I’ve had 7 quarts on the driveway surface. The funnel was jammed between the oil pan and the receiving container and slipped somehow. Godammit. You can still see it. Use extra protection now, but it had to be the modern Mopar with the extra capacity. These modern cars are a pia to get under by comparison.
