Seems that the unloved Chargers hold a special place in some owners minds. Fortunately the prices are affordable for more people.
If you put a new 66 , 67 and 68 base 383 in a room together and showed the features, more people would appreciate the 1st gen’s. In my honest opinion.
I am one of those who purchases a car for our personal enjoyment. It is not done to make anyone wealthy.
I admit that I will sell parts and cars and take a profit.

my GTX was kinda rough in 85....... today, it's the most solid car I've ever worked on

Same with Baby Blue. With completely rust free trunk floor and floor pans. Try to find that today. And in 1983, the current one, repaired with NOS sheet metal, was considered a "remade rust bucket," by my former brother in law who worked at the dealership when it was new.
Not a 68-70 but Wow is this guy on some serious crack. What a POS.

If the rest of the bodywork is anything like that horrendous rear lower quarter panel then that wet hemi orange paint is going to need stripped and done correctly

My guess is the bumper took a hit high up and was never straightened. (My original was similar.)
No idea about that quarter!
