Chinese copy of Edelbrock RPM intake?

I saw a brown one a couple days ago. It literally looked like crap. (in more ways than one) :BangHead: :BangHead:
whats where is you see them online and it's like WOW that is ugly.. then in person it's like HOLY ****.. that's SOOO ugly, it's just another level in person.. there is a guy here that drives one in petty blue... it's horrific

It's cool cept when they drill all the holes to mount the intake in the wrong spots and you have to grind out a $400+ intake to make it fit the engine... my RPM was like that and i believe it was PBR that got 3 victor intakes with the same issue....

I will never not be pissed bout this :(

For me I actually hit the swap meets and local ads for used aluminum intakes. I found a nice one for my 360. Plus I found a spare locally for a good price. After a good cleaning, bead blasting and hi temp paint, it looks and performs great.

And I don't blame you. There is no excuse for poor quality control. Someone someone didn't care that day and made it wrong. It shouldn't have been boxed and sent out. Rework or melt it down and recast and correct the mistake immediately. No excuses.

So much for quality control
:wetting:

There are hundreds of car companies over there, China is the country with the largest automotive industry in the world. GM helped out when they started building Buicks over there in 1997. They now also build Chevrolet and Cadillac in China.

Meanwhile, Stellantis used to make Jeeps over there but shut down the factory because of too much government interference.

Just like all castings. These do have alot of porosity issues. Also, keep in mind, both China and Korea now have a city called USA so they can put made in USA labels on their products.

Where are these cities, I hadn't heard of them. Japan does have a city named USA, but it goes back hundreds of years. Products have to have country of origin on them, not cities of origin.

If edelbrock would sell the performer rpm for $250 instead of $470 i would purchase a couple. And i bet they would still make a good profit at $250.
I agree with that, but Edy is in California i believe where everything costs too much. Perhaps its an American company having these intakes made in China as i think 440 source does with their quite good stroker kits?
