Well, it's not room 13 so I think you're good. Post again soon...Mama bought this for me for my shop key.
She’s not trying to tell me something, is she?

I remember the plate number on my BMW 30? years ago. Every time I am asked for a plate number (hotel check-in, etc) I give them that one. Nobody has ever batted an eye, sold the car 28? years ago. It's a legit tag number registered to a legit car I owned.I have NO idea what any of my current license plate numbers are.... but I remember what my parents cars were, from the 50s(!) cause of those little license plate key fobs. I have no idea where they came from. (Insurance company?).
My parent's had those too. I believe you're right about being from the insurance company.I have NO idea what any of my current license plate numbers are.... but I remember what my parents cars were, from the 50s(!) cause of those little license plate key fobs. I have no idea where they came from. (Insurance company?).

Impressive.I walked into an insurance agent's office to get car insurance when I moved to Seattle and the agent asked me for the title. I looked at her and said why? I need your VIN she replied. I rattled it off at her without blinking an eye. She just stared at me for a long time. What's wrong I asked. She says "I've been selling insurance for 18 years and no one has ever done that before".
I laughed. My wife laughed.
I just realized taking these pictures that I am mistaken about how lost keys were returned. I was always under the impression that they would get the keys back to you by using the license plate number. But that is probably privileged information that the DMV wouldn’t give out. I just noticed there are serial numbers on the back. The DAV must have kept a list of those serial numbers.
