Crane Ductile Rockers discontinued

So I decided to do some pre-spring checking and pull the rockers I installed last summer since threewood had experienced failures with his last year. I had already bought mine, so I went ahead and installed them. Unfortunately, I found the same problem with mine with very little run time. Really sucks!
I contacted Crane and they discontinued them a month ago apparently. They must not have been hardened properly to wear so fast.
Now I have to replace them and probably the bloody pushrods again...not happy. What to use?

Just got done getting my new iron Cranes all set up with custom pushrods, machined shaft hold downs, and spacers. This thread is really bumming me out.
Okay...... So should I go ahead and run em?

No way to know if you got the bad ones too, so unless you've got the extra money and time to re-do everything, run them.
Just keep a close eye on them now that you're aware of the potential issues. It seems to be a problem that can be averted when caught early, so watch 'em close...

Memorial Day sales not too far around the corner, summit currently running $50 off $500+ purchase

Check for a recall? Crane had no problem issuing the RMA to summit for mine. Id check with where you bought them if you're uncomfortable. They have a 1 year warranty.

If you can can go through the place you purchased them, do it. Going through Crane took me several months for a replacement set.

I might do that... It must be about a year since I originally purchased them.

great deal on from Mancini ($511), so these are nearly the same price as the defective cranes I just sent back to Summit. Hopefully I will receive them before next Christmas!

I just got these as well. Engine is not back together yet, but after disassembling/cleaning and setting a couple up on the heads with checking springs, I am happy with the overall quality. The swipe pattern for my lift (.526) is wide for my personal liking, but that's okay because I had already figured on using B3 for help with the geometry..
