The Dakota Digital gauge cluster is in and sheet metal work is done! Still need to drill 2 holes, h/l switch and wiper switch, but I’m done for the day!

I too have a Dakota I'm yet to install. Yours looks awesome! That's the one I was going to get. Went a different way though. Nice fab work. Any more pics?

Got the stereo hole cutout and the hvac vents installed. Waiting for my Vintage Air Gen IV controller to show up so I can place it and cut the opening for it.

Everything is done to the dash. Although I’m not digging how the ac controller is facing down when the dash is installed. Guess I need to French it in.

I’ve thought of covering it in vinyl (to match the door panels) or just shooting it flat black.

Awesome work 5.7, it's going to look great in the car. My vote is painted black with a nice upholstered dash pad.

Maybe you've considered this; but painted dashes get skanked up. There are coatings of course to increase durability and padded dashes done right look nice. Just sayin..

I have a dash pad, it’s been re-done and sitting in my closet for 3 years.
