MY opinion ONLY!
Mild street engines sound like **** uncorked, headers or manifolds. It seems you are gonna have a top of the line exhaust system. Why mess with it?
But, for what it's worth: engine masters did a cutout test, for horsepower and sound (which was bogus, in my opinion. A weak, too small system [2 1/2 pipes and turbo mufflers on a 600hp engine] designed to make the cutouts look good).
One thing I took from the episode: put the cutouts as close to the engine as possible. Even in an episode trying to make the cutouts attractive, they said they sounded like **** the farther back they were placed.
