Dash cams ..the good ..the bad ..

With Christmas arriving all too soon ,I'm asking you fine folks for some help .
About the only thing I can think of for my wife for Christmas is a dash cam.
Anybody have a preferance ?
Anything else a proud owner of a 2021 ScatPak might like ?

I’ve been using a front/rear setup I bought on amazon for about two years (in my daily for 100 mile/day commute). The brand name is “Rexing”. For about $150 you can have high resolution that works well facing the sunlight or at night. I only disconnect it in extreme heat when I park outside to protect the electronics but it’s only the usb cable from the rear cam and the power supply.

Bought one for the wife's Jeep and one for the Charger a few weeks ago. Rove R2 4k. $100 on Amazon. So far seems well worth it.

Capacitors vs batteries depending if you live in a hot climate. Swivel for filming traffic stops. Auto on feature. Night driving.

Nope , we each pay our own insurance in our house . I'm fortunate in that Bobbie insists on paying for everything for her motorcycle and the Scat Pack herself .
She has no trouble letting me pay for plane tickets to the Maldives ..Dubai... the Caribbean ..

I have a Rexing dash cam in mine, just the front cam, no issues and works well. They do have both front and rear available.
I have a 2019 Scat Pack 1320 and love it.

I use falcon 1080p dash cam, they are expandable up to 4 cameras. The feature I like most is the motion detector. If someone or something gets within 5 ft of the camera it will wake up and record. If something causes an impact like breaking a window it will save it as an incident.
