deep frying a turkey........ any tips?

Sheesh. I pay $35.99 for a 35# container (a little over 4 gal) of pure peanut oil.

That's what happens when they start transporting it by rail instead of the trusty pipeline.....

Yup....lol. On a serious note....don't care to use a tall burner stand.

Have not read this whole thread, but is there an air fryer big enough for a turkey? That could work. Air is still fairly cheap.

Someone probably makes one but man, that would be a pretty large air fryer. Had a small one and man, pita to clean.

got my ducks in a row, rain early, should be able to do it after noon some time

Put up a cheap pop up tent thing if it's still raining. Rain/snow will make it spatter and cold temps/wind make it harder to maintain temperature.

You may need some Hillbilly training.

And now is the time to try deep frying anything once the bird is done. Throw anything in there- shrimp, scallops, fish filets, homemade fries, pickles, mozzarella, you name it.
And bacon......have fun.
