seen this commercial pop up on dodge Instagram feed, couldn’t find it on their YouTube channel yet.RED 797-62818 is the message being sent. New challenger or charger with 797 hp on 6-28-18?

For that matter, what does LOCK: RED797_19 mean there at the end?
One thing for sure - that's the familiar sound of the supercharged hemi whine as the unfocused vehicle comes through.

Not affordable here.
Untill they build something affordable and reliable, purchase is not happening.

I'm guessing the 2019 Hellcat will be the 797hp.

Wonder how long they can milk this car? 2008 was the first year right?

I hear ya, probably be 1000+ a month with payment and insurance. One thing dodge does though is build better muscle cars than their competitor and price them a lot better. For example the Demon was 85k I believe or hellcat for 55-60k? I can’t remember but for comparison, the Chevy zl1 Camaro 70k price tag cant touch a hell cat or demon. You can go to Hennessy performance and purchase their “excorcist” upgrade for the zl1 for 60k, so now you’re 130k into a camaro that still can’t beat a 85k demon down the drag strip.

Yes 08 I believe, I don’t know how long they can keep it going but for what it’s worth, FCA has trademarked the “CUDA” name again.

I missed the “LOCK” part until I watched it again. Nice catch

I've heard rumors of a gen 3 426 hemi coming to street cars... maybe this has something to do with that.

New wide body with dual snorkel hood new 426ci Hemi with 797hp?

Ford is supposed to be releasing the GT500 sometime soon. Guess Dodge is looking to make it insignificant before it's even been launched

Ya there’s a release video for the gt500 on YouTube somewhere, looks like a 7th Grader edited it.

The manufacturers seem to be chasing different markets with these muscle cars. Not sure what the quarter mile times are for the ZL1 1LE but it probably is close to to the Hellcat, maybe. But put these on the road coarse where the ZL1 was built for and the fat cats wouldn't even have a chance. Seems Ford and Chevy are focused on the the road coarse for some reason. I think they're missing the boat at the drag strip.

And let's face it, none of us (at least me) would touch a Demon for less than $120k right now. Helcats are up in the mid $60's last time I looked.

Would love to have a Hellcat some day.

I’ll agree with you there, the Z28 and ZL1 are fast on the road course. Demons are marked up like crazy. Hellcats you can grab for 50-55 with a few miles on them. Unfortunately for Chevy road course racing isn’t nearly ad popular as drag racing right now IMO. I’ll also add that the new mustangs with the coyote motor are fast on the drag strip, and with minimal tweaking can probably beat a hellcat.

I've driven alot of high dollar cars and I'm a Mopar guy! When it comes down to it the hell cat couldn't touch the cakarC in a road course! But go the other way the Camaro can't keep up with the hell cat in a straight line ! I've driven a new hell cat red key and all and I will say I wasn't very impressed ,it's nice it's fast it's d.d. material but the thrill was just not there ! I was the near death experience that a built 440 4 speed car will give you my charger had about 200 less h.p. then the hell but I had way more fun in my old car then that new car !

Now the mustangs those crazy little things not alot of power but they still can't get them to hook that car will try and kill you if you don't pay attention! But I would never own such a pile !

And the Challenger is the Best Looking Car !

We've had two of the Charger R/T's (2012 now) and much prefer them to the Challenger.
Yeah yeah, they called a 4 door a Charger, wah wah….whatever.
The Charger is tighter in dimension and structure (it's not as wide as the Challenger) and you can feel it driving both back to back.
Although the R/T "only" has 374hp, it runs 13.9 stock despite weighing over 4000 lbs. and handles great, too.
Very comfortable and quiet, has all the bells and whistles and pushes 29mpg (!) highway to boot.
I've always said they built the Challenger too big, too tall and too bulbous.
You build a properly scaled Challenger, make it weigh around 3000lbs. and just stick the standard hemi in it and you'd have a legit pony car.
