Dodge is up to something again..

This is interesting. I put 1500 miles on mine just to get home.:) It now has 6k miles and seems to feel better every time out.
"Quite a few miles on it" may only mean it needs new tires.
I think it had new ones, which is what scared me off, lol.

What is to fear from a car that has been broken in and properly road tested.:)
Big stuff that will go wrong (Defects) generally happens early.
The engines for these cars are "broken in" before they are added to the car at the assembly.
The rest of the car "breaks in" on the road.
They were built to run hard and be just fine for it.

Help me understand the market for an AWD Challenger. I don’t see much of one. What’s the attraction?

In winter where I live, you have to have a 4x4 to get around here. In summer you bring out the gas getter with AC. And, when you want to have fun and go fast, you bring out the old mopar.

An AWD Hemi Challenger would do all three of those jobs, and I could thin the herd from three vehicles to one.

At the end of the day though, I completely agree that the market is too small for them to justify building it.

The hp increase is nice, but the new hood just doesn't fit the car.

Also, "Redyeye".......wtf kind of goofy name is that?

^^^agree---The term "red eye" brings to mind a -late night flight- or why pot smokers buy Visine.:fool:

Some educated idiot (or a team of them) with a marketing degree is patting himself on the back for that dumb name.

Maybe Dodge has gone all 'Battlestar Galactica" on us now?

All the bitching about these cars WTF. Back seat, handling, weight. Our Brand is the best looking fastest and affordable. Come on! 2 Million Dollar cars go faster at top end. Who ******* cares.

The runner-up was "Nose Bleed" followed closely by "Whiplash"

It's just a hellcat that been possessed by a demon, reason for red eye

Apparently the M6 trans. will not be on the list of options for the -red-eye- flights.
That kills it for me. I am out.

This car loaded as normal is expected to be about 90K before markup. IMO it is a demon part II.
They said production is over for the "Demon"?- (Goodby for the name). Whatever

It is not---The demon smoked a doobie -and got red eyes- and is lurking for buyers.

Come on Dodge/Fiat. Try to keep up with the great momentum you have going.:screwy:

I'm pretty sure Dodge figured out they underestimated the interest in the Demon. They could probably have easily sold 15k of them instead of the 3300 they built. Looks like the RedEye is their attempt to capture the Demon buyers that missed out, while still preserving the exclusivity for the 3300 that got Demons.

Let the depreciation begin.
