Where's the Dodge Boys ?

(sounds of crickets chirping)

We ARE here.

We know we have a better, faster, cooler, better looking, rarer, more desirable classic. Since we are so confident of this, we don't have to continually post to defend our choice and better judgement in cars. That's why the Plymouth boys are still trying " to win us over". :poke: :argue:

Ummm....take off a 3/4 of the body panels and they're pretty much the same car. Well...I take that back. A Dodge AM radio says Dodge Solid State, Plymouth says Chrysler.

I vote both!!

My vote for the Plymouth is solely because I drive one now. To me it depends on the year and model. Point in note I like the looks of my 62 Plymouth over the 62 Dodge but would take a 69' Superbee over a RR any day. The late 50s Dodges were a bit better styled than the Plymouths.... etc. Hard to generalize between the two.

68 RR & 68 Charger

For me I voted Plymouth, here's my current 68 Plymouth Roadrunner 1st, then a 68 Charger R/T a very close 2nd {the photo of the Charger isn't mine, but very simular to my 1st car}...

Plymouth all the way. Great Poll though. Thanks

I only own one Mopar. It's the only one I've ever owned. It is a Dodge Charger. It is my favorite car, I will own it until the day I die, and then my kids will own it.

I think I'll vote Dodge.

Dodge was my first Mopar, and outside of it, which i did love, ive only owned two others which was a 65 Coronet and my Ram.. I voted Plymouth, not because of my current car but ive had so many and they to me, are the best looking ones.. Its a tuff call though, a 68-69 Super Bee, a 71 Charger, i would love to own those as well as others, I thought it would be a closer call on the poll, like someone else said, being there is so many of each and both having quality's of there own that makes them special.. I agree with My67HemiGTX, it is a great poll.

Not sure how someone gets affended by this poll and thinks choosing a Dodge is using better judgement than a Plymouth???

The poll was listed at the start as a taste preference, like which steak do you want off of the grille.

Here's what I expect would be reality for all of us here....

OK, let's set the record straight here. There WAS NO OFFENSE taken by me on ANYTHING here. I LOVE PLYMOUTHS TOO! In fact, I love Chryslers and Desotos and Jeeps too. I don't think Dodge is necessarily using "better judgement", I was simply trying to STIR THE POT a little. Seems you may be the one "offended", and I did NOT intend that, only a little fun jab at the Plymouth guys. Guess I should have known someone would misinterprete my sense of humor. My bad! Please, I beg of you forgiveness and understanding.:gah:

"I don't think he was offened at all" or "trying to offend anyone", he likes Chrysler, Dodge, Desota & Plymouth... I think he was kind of needeling the Dorfs & Cheby's guys, "Not that anything is wrong with that"... Maybe look at it again... Duck-duck-duck-duck-GOOSE, remember the old kids game, you get it now ?? That's the way I see it anyway...

Bingo, on all counts.

If there is a prize, you win.

I either own or have owned all the above pictured, excluding the '68 R/T.

I do own a '69 R/T, '69 SE and a '70 500, but they are not too picture worthy, compared to my freinds '68.

You can see how it would be a little difficult to label me just a Plymouth guy.

I'm not prejudice, I just don't like any vehicle that's not a Mopar...

Well... except my GM 4106.

i chose plymouth but if i had the chance to find and own a 70 charger r/t again i might be swayed.

I am still suprised that it's not closer....

Me too. It's a 2 to 1 Plymouth ratio, and I'm shocked. At Mopar shows I attend I'd say the cars are 2-1 Dodge.

Maybe it's just unique to FBBO members that we feel the Plymouth love. ??

I voted Plymouth for one reason and one reason only. The 71 'Cuda...Period. The Challengers were OK too....But that damn 'Cuda messed me up at 6 yrs old when I went to a dealership with my dad to buy a car and he bought a damn dart instead! LOL I have never forgiven him for that. Sitting on the showroom floor was a 71 'Cuda and I cried like...well a 6 year old... when he went for the A body instead.

In fact, it was at that very moment I became a "Mopar" guy for life. Just because of that one car.

Aside from the 'Cuda...68 Charger is my next favorite, followed by the RR, the Super Bee and then its about all the same to me.

DeSoto. :blob1:

Laugh!

Plymouth got my vote too. I've owned everything domestic, but for some reason my road runner is the favorite. Yep, Dodge had the Super Bee...after Plymouth showed the way with RR. There was a Challenger, years after the Barracuda. Dodge Dart played 'me too' to the Valiant. After the Dodge boys saw the Duster, they cried "we want our own" and hence the Demon.

I'd love to have a '69 Charger, sure. Just wondered what Chrysler would be up to these days if the Plymouth team was still around, coming up with ideas. :)
