Ok, this pertains to a 95 Dakota....OBDI system. ABS light came on and couldn't find out why and since I didn't like the way the ABS acts anyways, I just disconnected the ABS module in the right side foot well. Rear wheels still have braking and the light went out and no more pedal pulsation crap. And yup, I know ODBII came out in 96 but don't know how long that lasted.

I left the dealership in 03, so wiring issues with those wasn't a common thing yet. But I did have a guy come by not long ago , and there was definitely a problem with the wiring at the computer. Either within the connector, or broken wires behind the terminal. If you put pressure on the loom it would run.
Just throwing it out there as that's the only thing you messed with. By the sounds of it

it drives and stops fine, I'm tempted to just remove the bulb and leave the fuse out

I read some crap about disconnect battery, hold foot on brake for 30 seconds, reconnect....... I'll try anything

Have you tried driving it yet. Three run cycles and it may go away on its own.
Old, old Chrysler tech. Dropped out in 74 but still play with the stuff. Disconnecting the battery cables and clamping them together for 15 - 30 minutes should kill the ecu internal battery and reset the system.
