I need to replace the Park Lock cable on my 65 coronet 4 door with A904 transmission, and it looks to me like Imperial Services out of Michigan is the best source. Am I on the right track? Also, the detents are broken on both of my front doors. Where can the best value replacement parts be found and what is the process for the fix. Do the doors actually get removed in the process or is there a way to fix without removing them?

Thanks for all replies.

I don't think there's any way to repair the hinges aside from rebushing the pins! You'll have to find some good used ones!

You can get the cable from Schumacher Creative Services (same as IPS). Pin bushing kits from your local auto parst store in the Dorman "Help" line.Though not exact you have to drill to install the bushings for the new pins.I sometimes cheat and remove one hinge at a time.leaving the door on. A floor jack is a big help to hold the door open and up while removing the hinge.Detent springs maybe harder to find.Newer mopars have similar springs that may work. Last time I used rear springs from a 67 4 door Dart.
