Fairly simple tools but sure makes it easy to see if the drive train is properly aligned. I have a setup plate on the front of a bare block and then a bushing in the rear of the transmission housing. That lets me slide a long piece of roll bar tubing thru the main line to see if the engine is pointed at the rear end.

That's cheating...and definitely an idea I'll steal once it comes time to mock the motor up in my 65 Coronet.:poke:
Smart choice to flip the trans cross member 180 degrees.:thumbsup:
It's a good way to get engine setback and yet remain somewhat stock...
If I remember correctly I think you have to do is redrill the two inboard bolt holes in the crossmember...
