E-body bashing?

They were talking about the Dynacorn replacement Challenger bodies in the other thread. As far as I know, they only built the one prototype body, and never built any to sell to the public. Does anyone know of anyone buying one,or seen one in person?
Here's one a guy bought in 2019.

Wow thats cool to see,it's like getting a body in white from Mopar!

First of all, I love the E bodies. I think they are an absolutely beautiful car and I would like to get one again. Funny story though, when I was a kid my first car was a 66 GTO. What a great car it was, very solid and drove great, super reliable year around (yes winter too with studded snow tires). Then I sold it and bought a 70 Challenger. OMG, it was terrible compared to the GTO, cheaply made, tin can and lots of reliability problems. It just seemed so cheap compared to the GTO, so I only kept it a few months and then sold it and bought a 68 GTO. Again the 68 was very solid like the 66. Funny thing is now I want an E body again.

I agree, I think ma mopar was trying to play catch up with GMs camero/firebird but by the time they got into production, GM already moved on to the 2nd gen.
My high school car was a '66 GTO. 389 Muncie M21 4-speed. I beat the crap out of that car. GTO Was my calling. Until I saw and bought a '69 GTX. I believe a better car. And never looked back to Pontiac. On my 2nd '69 GTX. Same color, 440 performance option. Same 4-speed. But does have a bit of different personality.

P.S. The most common question/talking point I get? Is ne having to explain the difference between a GTO and a GTX. Lol. Which doesn't bother me a bit.

I'm a member on FBBO, FABO, FEBO, FCBO, and the one for f bodies. I have owned all of these body style and, currently have an E body and an A body (pictured below). We also have a newer Challenger.

As far as the sites go I believe a lot of us are on a couple of these forums (cross contamination)...lol. I spend most my time on FBBO and FABO as they seem to have the most traffic and always something new to read.

Yeah, I often wish they were combined into one site. Obviously there are things particular to each body style, but so many parts and discussions are relevant to all - like engines, transmissions, etc.

Depends on How much Grunt is under the hood and can ya get it into the ground, Our "B" - normal aspirated- only 689/675 but will do 1.46 60ft. times (at the track of course).
Mine has a little bit of grunt under the hood

Need to get it dyno’d this year estimated is give or take 900hp at the crack. 15psi boost, Teflon stripped 8-71, big cam, gear drive, roller everything, ported heads etc etc

raced heavily in the ‘80s but has been completely redone since. Never been down the track in 30+ years, gonna get it certed and do some test and tunes this year, maybe race it in Pro Stick in coming years if I am able to keep the car… I need to either find a bunch of money or sell the car in a year or so family wants an addition built on the shitty old house and new cabinets and furniture. :BangHead:

can’t afford to blow it up but if I can keep the car I’ll throw nitrous at it and convert it to E85. Right now it’s pinging hard running on pump gas shell ethonol free Vpower. Took a bunch of timing out so it ain’t that bad and the MSD boost retard helps a ton.
