I would like to dyno tune my 440 before it goes in the car, check for leaks, etc. Who would you recommend in the Indiana, Ohio area say between Indy and Columbus. I am about halfway in the middle.
What would be a ballpark of cost on this? I would just like to deal with an honest shop who will treat me fairly.
Or if you feel it's a dumb idea feel free to say so.

Might try Fetters Racing Engines in West Milton, OH. Don't have contact info with me now but you can Google them or pm me. They rebuilt my 383 and put it on their dyno. Depending on how much dyno time you want / need, maybe 700 / 800 bucks.

The ones I've checked into have been around 150.00 - 200.00 an hour but that's a chassis dyno.

I found their number. I'm only about 30 min. from there. Thanks I'll give them a call

Kammer and Kammer Racing in Huber Heights, OH. Specialize and race Mopars too. I believe they have an engine and chassis dyno last time I checked a price list (few years ago)

EDIT: Found an old price list (2011).
Chassis dyno-3 pulls w/ o2 sensor- 125.00
Chassis dyno-2 hrs w/tuning - 360.00
Engine dyno- full day (V8 4bbl) -550.00

Don't know of any off hand, maybe a full service parts house, NAPA, KOI, that does rebuilds, may have an engine run-in stand. Not a dyno but if you just want to run it, check leaks, etc., might be more cost effective. Bear in mind there is some work involved with either. Not like a chassis dyno. Drive on, strap down, go.
