All the boxes just showed up. I am just about done with the complete re-wire of the car so the timing is perfect. I will post some pictures here in a little bit. I will take a lot of pictures and try to document it as a how to guide for those of you that might be interested in doing this swap.

Here are some pics so far

Looking good. if you don't mind me asking, how much does EFI that setup cost? I am already doubled over my budget anyway, looks cool.

The complete setup with fuel system is about $3100. Another $620 for tcm. You can do it for less if you have a magnetic pickup distributor and efi ready fuel system

I went external with a return. I'm running e85 with plan to go to 13:1 with a heads cam change next. I wanted to be able to swap pumps easily.

So the hardest part of getting started is figuring out where to put the ECM. It's hard to find a suitable spot that will handle the wiring. The sheer volume of wires in the harness seems overwhelming. A lot of it won't be used, but it's still a lot of wiring

Ok folks. The ECM has a new home. Now I need everyone to pray for me. I'm going to completely split this harness and put connectors where I need them and reassemble.

I give up, for tonight anyway. So the only thing I really dislike about the kit so far is the harness. I gets that it's supposed to be "EZ" but it makes you put stuff in places I really dislike. Oh well. I'm sure the first drive will make up for the frustrations

Will be great to hear your feedback on the 2.0, can't believe all you read in the magazines.

I do, lol!!

I've installed several atomic and ez 1.0. They are usually got for 30 ish horsepower improvement over a carb

Depends on the size of the cam or more importantly the amount of vacuum. Most very well

That's what I was worried about. My 440 has the old MP 484/284 cam, it makes poor vacuum. That's why I would be leery of the EZ 1.0. With the 2.0 and higher hp level maybe it will work with cams that make less vac?

These systems require a completely different mind set low vacuum cams are the old way. Hi Vacuum is the way. it changes everything we know completely. I expect carbs will die soon as the price of efi kits get to 1000.00 . The only issue is most people hate the return line and the In tank fuel pump which makes a biggggggggggggggggggggggggg difference in the way these things work. I put one system in my kids Monte carlo a EFI from a Vette and the return line came from In line tube and a Electric in tank pump for a EFI Monte v6 was 120.00 from Quanta and a big difference in work load.

The problem is old school guys don't understand modern cam design. Rather than argue with the guy from Indy on the phone i just said yeah whatever send me one off the shelf. This motor is a stepping stone for me for right now. The next one will be 500 inches and have something like a 242/254 .620 on a 114 LSA with a 112 ICL. Should make great power and have a very long flat torque "curve"

Looking good LX,
I ,ve just installed the first gen. EZ efi and found the instal went fairly smooth.I looked at the harness and laid it out to use the body plugs so there was no hole drilling. The computer mounted on the underside of the dash near the ignition switch ,routed the harness through the firewall plug for the manual trans clutch pedal rod along the firewall down the drivers side valve cover, pretty much isolated from any sources of electrical interference such as MSD . The harness is for the multi-port upgrade. Just going through the final computer learning stages. Had to upgrade the alternator and wiring to maintain constant 14 volts. The engine is a 496 stroker with a hydraulic flat tappet cam 244-256 IE @50 112 LSA 525-521 valve lift. Measured 12"-14" vacuum @ idle

I can't wait to see it up and running. I really wanted to go with a FAST system on my G3 hemi but I just couldn't afford it. One day maybe.
