Heartfelt and noble story HT413. Very glad to hear it hits a piece of home and I hope you and yours enjoy it for many years to come. It seems we have some similarities in life. Growing up, my family always visited my grandparents during the holidays. Though it wasn't the command performance show the you and your family enjoyed, my grandfather always had Bing Crosby playing during our visits. My sisters and I spent a lot of time listening to my grandfather talk about the good old days and his days serving on a ship in the pacific during WWII. Back on the boat, him and his buddies would catch their R & R by listening to Bob hope, Bing and the gang. Heck, possibly the recording on this thread. When you mentioned your story, it struck a chord and I was hoping I could help you out. Gotta admit, it brought me back, so thank you. Small world we live in and in the end it seems to always boil back down to family and our roots. You and yours have a wonderful holiday season.
