Big Daddy Don Garlits for me. Hard to believe what the sport has become. Because of these Icons of the sport, we now have street car classes, Drag Radial and 10-1/2" tires classes running quicker/faster than some of these guys did in their professional careers. We owe it all to them....

John is a great dude they were racing by my house at Gateway Raceway in Madison Illinois and he was staying in a hotel near a bar I ran karaoke at and he cam in and bought everyone drinks and sang like every song that night

Bob Glidden, I was always a want to be prostock guy. And the season that he retired a winning Ford and brought out the Plymouth arow and still kicked but was just awesome.

Gotta be Ronnie Sox although I read/watch everything I can on Herb Mccandless and he sure comes off as a great drag racer and a gentleman. When Pro Stock ran real 4 speeds Ronnie and Herb were at the head of the class. To me pulling a Lenco or clicking a button doesn't compare.
