after years , it feels good to finally put my engine in today. took some time by myself but followed the way some of you said and it worked great. still need to decide on carb. , distr. and valve covers. also, used you guys advice and got doug's headers 2" and they fit perfect.

You actually didn't put the engine in,..you put the body on. Whats with the " GM black " engine bay ? Should be body color.

ya, it is a 440. I guess I didn't know it should be body color. it is what it is, now.

Gotta ask, what's in that ceiling that you trust picking the whole front of your car up with:poke:.

Congratulations on the milestone:thumbsup:.

Awesome! Great progress. You'll be driving before July 4!

Always a ******* critic in the crowd.
Looking good Charger 10.
That's what I was thinking, always someone to rain on the parade. Great job on getting the engine in, a big step forward and done with no accidents or injuries!

roof trusses are pretty strong in snow country , I just nailed 3 - 2x6's together and put them on top of 3 trusses and ran the chain down through ceiling. I used the trusses for working on roof and the underneath with 3 come-a-longs. here is a pic.

Congrats!.......I like the black/purple contrast.......

Congrats! Looking good.

great job, you said doug headers fits perfect did you have to hammer any parts? thanks
no, I did not hammer it at all. I had a little trouble tightening #2 bolt on drivers side, very little room.

That's the first one you need to install.

Something about that whole set up is really appealing. And I really like the look of the stock valve covers.
