Soapy spray along the exhaust manifold. It will bubble if there is a leak.

No, a leaking valve cover gasket will not cause a clicking noise.

Thank you! I didn’t think so, but wasn’t sure. I’m positive that’s the culprit for my oil leak though.

It’s the source of a lot of “rear main seal” leaks as well.
