Well I've been trying for several months to qualify to purchase a house. I finally found one that I qualified for!! I only have pictures of the important part, The basement/garage. I got the polara moved in last night, and I finally have a place to perform the two door conversion. Next week end My 68 dart will come out of my storage unit and take its place in the new garage and the mustang will be put outside. upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 950 square feet. It needs a bit of work, but it's all stuff that I'm capable of. and the price was right at 42,000, owner terms, 835 a month.

Congrats that's great news. Looks like a nice shop space too. You are lucky - $42k is a down payment around here! congrats.

Good for you on getting a house! Now you got some space to work on the 2 door conversion. Post more pics as you progress.

Congrates, looks good

:headbang:
It look s like a great space to do your car stuff, hope everything goes as planned best wishes on the new pad! :hello2:

good for you bud. now you can work when you feel like it, 42,000. is a reasonable price. i paid that just for the shop.:headbang:

Thanks guys, Heres some pics of the outside. It sits on about an acre and a half at the end of a dead end street. I had to put 1,300 down on it.

2 door conversion? Now that's a thread I can't wait to see! Make sure you start a thread to that end!

That's a cool little house! And for $42K????!!! Around my parts that would be a misprint or like hitit says, a down payment. Congrats!

Congrats!! I remember the first night I owned my house, I trailered my race car over to the house and put it in the garage before I did anything else. What a sweet moment that was. I was 23 and sold a bunch of my cars to afford the down payment. Congrats again.

Yep congrats on the house, looks like a bargain. In my area 42 k as stated by others above would barely get you the dwn payment.

Congrats & Welcome to the world of debt. ...LOL... Now the fun starts, paying your loan for 15 or 30 years, paying HO insurance, property taxes, HO ***. dues, city & federal taxes, up keep & yard work... have fun

It is a very good feeling, I'm 22 years old and this is my first house.

In good condition the house would appraise for approximately 65k. But it needs carpet, paint, and has a bunch of electrical issues(old wiring) as well as some many smaller things that need some attention.

An average house in the middle Tennessee area usually runs between 50-120k. so even for the area I got a steal!!!

Congrats, looks like a great starting point. Nice size shop with heat on an acre plus, with todays interest rates that looks like a deal to me, good luck with it.
