Saw a TV special the other day, it reported that a 125? car freight train Locomotive moves from a dead stop 80', before the caboose moves one inch.

That's about right, except that the caboose has been obsolete since 1987.

Likely not much different than when driving on rain soaked tracks and everything's dripping.
