Four post lift installed today

I like the four post. So did any of you have to change the garage door or the path that it opens. My rails must hang 18" from the ceiling and I have a center mounted garage door opener. I suspect I'd have to clear out the back of the garage to move the lift in deeper to clear everything. Plus pull the bikes down from the ceiling. I need another bay or a pole barn but am on a small lot and neighbors are too close to add a bay.

I had to have the door modified .they replaced the rails so the door goes up tight to the ceiling. The new opener mounts to the operator bar in the corner so you dont have the opeerator rail in the middle.new operator can be adjusted to stop door where ever you want,I had to adjust my 8' door to stop at 7' because my garage is 24' deep and the door would hit if the car was up at max height, not a problem my wifes mountaineer can clear 7'.

I did mine the same way, except I was able to make my old opener to work.

I will soon be ordering my Liftmaster 8500 so I can put my car up higher on my lift. You might want to look at this
if your looking for ideas.

This puts the motor on the side of the doors, and removes the overhead stuff....
I will post pics when I do mine.
