So after quite a bit of lurking/research I've found a crazy amount of information and disinformation about this so I decided to just ask strait out:

I will be running a built 440 (.055 over, 4.150 stroke, indy 440-1 heads/intake, XR292HR-10 cam) and wanted to make sure my fuel system will be able to keep up. That said will a 3/8" setup work fine or should I go 1/2"??

If 1/2" does anybody know where I can get a 1/2" fuel pickup for a '64 Dodge 440? All I can find so far is 3/8"

Thanks!

3/8 is sufficient but down the road if you want to give more power or boost it you will have to redo all the lines to 1/2"

try mancini enterprises, classic industries, yearone, ebay etc.

Using one carb I bet 3/8" will be fine.

If you decide you must go with 1/2" you can modify your existing sender using 1/2" copper tubing and / or brass fittings soldered to the round bulkhead plate. I did this back in the 80's and it worked great. Just copy the profile of the stock pickup tube.
