fuel pressure ? dual 4 barrel cross ram

Hi guys my vein style electric pump just quit on my 451ci dual holley 4 barrell plymouth.
and when I called to replace the the pump they could not find my pump so I bought a blue holley pump. it has a pressure regulator from the old pump and just after the pressure regulator it says it is running 8.5psi to one of the carbs. I have not started it yet.

Can anyone give me an idea of what pressure I should be running? every where i read say holley carbs only like 6-7psi, it is 650hp

Yes 6 to 7 psi is all you need for it. You dont want the pressure to high where is wants to push the needle off its seat. 6 to 7 is good. Ron

my 65 318 poly with 3 deuces I'm running 5#of pressure and it runs great

6-7 seems good but now im concerned about damaging the pump because its setup for 14psi (holley blue pump) thoughts?
