Funniest phrases/questions/comments you've heard about your Mopar

around where i live , there is a mix of.....lets call them inbreeds. never fails....if i take out the Belvy..( 440 emblem right there in plain sight 1 inch tall and 7 inches long )....i get.....WWWWWWELL.( A-HUH A-HUH ) whatcha got in dat ting ?

if i take out the Roadrunner ( yeah its purple)....i usually get a swarm of...lets call them..."african americans". surrounding the car talkin jive like in the movie Airplane.....SAYING..."I aint nevehh seen no purple car like dis befoeeeeeeee "

i had the Road Runner out for a cruise...and it never fails....someones cousins brothers dads wifes former room mate had one just like it as they are in a fast pace towards the car. this one guy in particular...( refer back to the inbreds above )...said...and i swear to you he said this... "...my wifes brother had one with .....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh..........lemmee see.......it was a 389 HEMI...same color as this one except it had a geeee-teee- ooooohhhh on it...bought it brand new in 67 ...(a- yukk a-yukk a-yukk). my response was..." a 389 purple Hemi GTO huh?...wow.....he shoulda hung on to it....DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHAT A FIND THAT IS ??????????????? "

I had a 78 aspen super coupe. Had a healthy 340 in it. The 360 was long gone. Had a guy call it the Mad Max car at the gas station once. I promptly replied in my best australian accent(which isnt so good) "last of the V8 interceptors, a piece of history." got in and drove away.

Son told me one day when he had my car out someone said to him... Nice camaro ... WTF?? I plan on putting the large plymouth lettering on the 1/4 pannel, stupid people will still ask "what is that?"

I remember cruising in my Starsky & Hutch Torino one Friday, and my roommate was in his sublime Superbird. He was at a light and a Corvette came up next to him. He launched on the green and the Corvette didn't have a chance. I had a CB in the Torino and I heard two truckers who were with us talking about what they saw. The discussion essentially was:

"Wow, that guy in the vette just got smoked!"
"What was the other car?"
"I don't know, but it was green and it was fast."

how many times has someone asked you(any of our cars)is that the same as the "dukes" car.god that makes me wanna vomit every time i here it.

My Challenger was always called a Camaro. I'd just respond with "I didn't know you speeeeled Camaro with an 'h' in it let alone a 'g' and some other letters that don't belong." They usually just walked off. As for the Honda kids saying their car was faster, I'd ask them if they needed to borrow a quarter. Blank stares and they ask what for....so you can go call someone that cares. Now they are really confused since none ever heard of a pay phone. I wonder how they would act if I offered a dime for the pay phone :D Another thing I'd say after someone says 'nice Camaro' is...."what are ya, stooopid or sumtin"

I get this alot: Hey, nice Cadillac!

or ''Does it have fine corithian leather?'' (please stop asking)

A lot of times too i'll be driving with my window down and someone will yell ''CORDOBAAAAAAH'' in a spanish accent lol

I'm sure i'm not the only one who gets funny comments about their ride, let's hear em!

That's a good looking Monte Carlo!

:eusa_eh:It's a Cordoba.

It is? Huh.

I get the "440 HEMI" one all the time.
I don't really mind talking to people that aren't real car savvy if they are nice people. Usually they just like nice cars. But if they are a**holes about it I will feed them a big line of misinformation and just pure bullsh*t that they can repeat for the rest of their lives. Just a public service I provide.

My Cordoba gets the "What is it?" or "I remember those, haven't seen one in a long time." comments all the time. A lot of people say "Man, those were big cars," to which I promptly reply, "yeah, and that was the small Chrysler then!" My favorite is "What year is it?" and my plates say MOPAR 77. Occasionally I get "What's a MOPAR?"

Right after I got the car I had a couple of guys about 20 years old wanted to look it over. I opened the trunk and pointed out the original spare tire had never been on the road. The one kid looked at the other and said, "wow, that tire is older than we are!"

I was on my way to a car show around 6 one Sunday morning and stopped at a doughnut shop with my '65 Formula S and had the only guy in the lot ask what year my Studebacker was! I just mumbled something to him. On my way out of the place he asked if I wanted to sell it. I thought perfect, he wants to buy my car and he doesn't even know what make it is!

With my Coronet they dont even try to guess. No emblems nada.I love to see the confusion on their faces.

I had a 73 AMX- 401 4 speed- and people would constantly say 'nice Mustang!'. I had a 68 RoadRunner that was Omaha Orange and I had a guy at a cruise night ask why my 'Charger' was painted Hugger orange. He then pointed at my 440 under the hood and pronounced to his friend 'I told you it had a hemi!'.

Had a few ask what my 66 Belvedere is...then ask what a Plymouth was. It won't have any call outs on it when I'm done with it either.

Oh, and I had a black 69 Charger in HS and when I started driving my white 68 RR everyone thought it was the same car painted white.

Just shows ya people don't pay attention. I drove a 66 Belvedere in high school and there was no missing that. It stuck out pretty good since it was yellow with a black top.
