My 72 Coronet keeps getting called an Impala. Then I get asked why a four door. Once it tell them what that massively large back seat was used for back in the day. I wasn't passengers. They are speechless. I'll keep it clean on here

i've actually heard that at a show...i was hangin' with my buddy and his RR, this dork says that to him...my buddy looked at him and said yeah, my BIG BLOCK 383.:evil6::evil6:

In 1972 I restored a 1931 Model A pickup truck and one day a guy looked it over and said "Someone did a nice job taking a coupe and turning it into a pickup truck." I said "Ford built about 30,000 Model A pickups in 1931." He said "look buddy, I was alive in 1931 and I don't remember ever seeing one of these, get real."

Another time I pulled into a gasoline station and the attendant came out looked it over and said "nice 29." I said "thanks but it is a 1931." He again looks it over and says "nope, its a 29, ya can tell because the fenders are different from a '31."

ever since i pulled my 66 belvy into the shop, i have gotten no less than 8-10 'what year is that chevelle?', or 'nice chevelle!'. Ugh, its not even worth trying to explain to some people, i actually got into a verbal argument with a guy because i told him it has a 340 in it. He flat out told me that i was an idiot for putting a small block in it... whatever. I fired it up and snapped the throttle for him a few times, he didn't say a thing after that.
