Graveyard Carz Fall 2015

Throwing the crank was epic. I think they mentioned early on the transport driver said it quit. It sounds like it lost coolant & got hammered while hot.
Or did the owner just roach the engine for some unknown reason????:cya: Then in turn dumped the car...A very strange story indeed!

Or Daren put that motor together? Lol

There really isn't a need for GYC to go into too much detail, maybe a mistake was made in assembling the motor, maybe not...and likely was hammered hard, at idle I don't think it would have grenaded so badly! And seeing Mark huff and puff just walking up stairs, I'm surprised he didn't run out of breath picking up that Steel crank and throwing it down, that was sort of cool to see though!

Grenade with the pin pulled, it didn't happen at idle or putting around...
free-winding rev.'s 6k+, maybe someone got it hot as hell 1st,
rods don't break in a stock motor idling...
Broken rod bolt 1st got hot started making noise,
than they blew it up on purpose is my wild *** guess...

Seems like the delivery driver was an escape goat or the culprit...

I actually contribute too, sometimes...LOL

If you think the story we got that the engine was idling and then it exploded is fishy, then everyone at GYC would agree with you. We have yet to learn what "actually" happened to the Sunroof car, but we have our suspicions, some of them we mentioned in the show, some we won't say as we have zero proof to back it up. The point is, there was nothing to ever suspect the engine was faulty when it was installed - it was inspected by our machine-shop, it was ran on the Engine Runstand, it was driven for several days for it's initial reveal and it didn't have any problems. The owner had it for a year without issues.

Nevertheless, as you saw in the episode, the engine was ruined and so, because we cannot prove it wasn't our fault, we replaced the engine at no cost.

And for the individuals who have used this situation to use toward their negative campaign against GYC, guess what - we don't care. We have a whole lot filled with customers who appreciate the quality we do and it's because of how we handle rare situations like this that keeps the doors open. It will be that way long after the show expires.

Thanks for tuning in and watching. Next weeks episode, we find out why our 340 Engine was giving us problems a few weeks ago.

Looking forward to it. I will keep watching as long as you keep making the show.

I didn't get a coffee when we were there. Is my hoody in yet ?

That is great your lot is full of cars! Maybe by the time you get to the last one you will finally get the restorations to an "OE" level. Practice makes perfect, right!

In the end no one wants GYC to fail! We want them to get better and maybe after some time along with "Constructive Criticism " he could possibly claim to be the "Best."

I didn't detect anywhere in this thread that individuals were using the Sunroof Challenger engine as a campaign against GYC, unless I missed it? Was that you 4268Hemi making coffee for Mark?

I forgot, you don't understand Mark humor. The jokes on you for taking him seriously when he says that.

No different than Michael Scott saying he's the world best boss. :rolling:

Not directly, but there is some with an agenda to use anything they can to project their negativity to the end product of what GYC does.

Is this Mark or the Barista?

Play your puns as you may...I guess the "OE" comments on the show will turn out to be another humor or joke on you comment, right?

I have not seen a true OE example displayed on the show to date.

Maybe that can be a car for the next season. Mark is moving in the right direction, lets see if he can deliver that level of restoration!

The 340 engine debacle is a shame indeed...Hopefully, he catches that scumbag.

Now we need a link to this story!! Come on ..cough it up
found this little gem on face book

I hear the GYC. ROLL BACK. REAR ENDED. A VEHICLE. AND HAD NO INSURANCE. AND MAY BE REPOED.!!! Mark at his best
