Graveyard Carz

These guys are supposed to be Mopar Experts the one show I watched one guy didnt even know how heater hoses were routed on a B Body
I hope these guys read these threads

Springfield is my home town, so for me I get to see my old stomping grounds when I watch the show. When I go home for leave I usually stop by Welbys and talk to Mark. The first time I went there he told me about the start of the show. He is a good guy and takes the time to talk to me about Mopars and take reference pictures of the 70 chargers he had in the lot and answer some questions I had. The drama isn't real from what I have seen when I go there, everyone was gainfully employed on projects. That is also why I don't stick around too long because people are busy. The problem is, without drama, the networks will not even think about airing a show. I do hope they show more resto work in the coming shows. I know they post a lot of resto pictures on their facebook page. He had this new hemi car he found a few weeks back in the area.

so far ,,,i think the best resto show is the 2 BRITS. its called WHEELER-DEALERS. no BS a few jokes...but no bickering drama...and the work gets done! very interesting in my opinion. for some reason it holds my attention....not like the other car shows which reminds me of that dumbass Kardashion show or Bridezilla. these networks need a new premise to base the shows on rather than EVERYONE BITCHIN AT EACHOTHER !

IS THAT THE BEST THEY CAN COME UP WITH>,,,,REMINDS ME OF A BUNCH OF KINDERGARTENERS TO BE HONEST!

I turn this ugly program on. Stupid ,objectionable unpleasant, disagreeable people, but for some reason...
I can't look away! I Keep viewing, and grumble!

why? am I nuts? (don't comment):icon_confused:

I also DVR the next show!:eusa_think:

Yep, it's like a "train wreck" you almost have to look....LOL....

I got this pic from Google Earth, that's their shop.

That is a different shop down main street about two miles east. This is the shop address.

Welby's Collision Center
1820 Main Street, Springfield, OR 97477

The picture is of Fernando and Family Body shop at 3415 Main. In the past they have had mopars parked out front including a Superbird but I think that was a different owner. They still have a lot of cool cars when I drive by.

Awesome Sixpack70. My first experience watching the show was the same as most people have commented in this thread. But after friending them on facebook and seeing their posts. Also searched them in youtube. After seeing that they are all about mopars. They got my attention. Call me crazy but i'll watch any show that supports our cool cars. Mopar or no car..

Graveyard Carz book

Like most people I didn't care to much for the first 3 episodes. Although I kinda like there dry humor!
It's a LOT better than OCC idiotic tirades where every other word is bleeped out!
(I really want to see this show succeed)

But like Mark said, episode 4 was MUCH better, as they worked on the cars and are showing the details of restoring to OE specs.
Which brings to mind... in the show, what was that really thick book he was using and where can I get one?
In the show, a blue covered (mopar I presume) book got knocked off the shelf by his son in law, and was told that the book was worth more than his life!
I need one of these for my resto!

i like the show. where else can you see old mopars in the background. some of the stuff is kinda lame like the pumpkin episode etc, etc. but atleast its not the west coast customs crap yuck

Sixpack70, I was told my 68 Sport Satellite came from Springfield. I guess a guy brought to Wisconsin the early 90s. I have pics of it in members projects and restorations under Tims Sportin' and Members photos. Maybe you know the car.

I doubt it

There are a couple of them, over on www.DodgeCharger.com forum, that say they welcome the comments, both positive & negative, but allot of the negative comments stopped, when they {Mark the owner G.Y.C. & another guy} started posting on the Graveyard Carz threads over there...

sorry still feel it's a lame show

may be we should invite them over here ,and then they can hear our thoughts of the past shows, I wouldnt doubt that they have been watching the post , not sure if they care ,its all about the money and Im sure that who ever does there show want the ratings that come with the bickering, you know people like drama.

Impressive seeing Yokum drive his 67 Coronet R/T 135 mph on rain soaked road! That took balls (?)
"stupidity is when your balls overtake your ability"

I can do without a lot of the drama, gotta give them props on that 70 Bird, that thing is SWEET! Will keep watching for the sake of seeing some rare Mopars restored.

That show is Painful to watch. Mark has a god complex. Did you see the way he talked to his son in law when he knocked the book over? That book wouldn't even have fallen if the countertop was mounted properly. that nitwit with the gray hair does nothing but think up stupidity. All I've seen of the cars is some hose routing, sticker sticking, and new engine overheating. All car shows need to teach something along with the required stupidity. And they need to be about cars, not commercials in between the commercials like all the 1/2 hour shows.

Tbone, unfortunately I was very car ignorant back in 1990(and 12). I didn't know they were still making the Mustang until 1993 when the SN-95 came out. I had no clue the fox body was a Mustang. About all I knew was the Charger due to the dukes of hazard and the classic Mustang and Camaro. I wouldn't have a clue if I saw your car. Do you know the owners name?

The cool thing is Eugene, OR had a mopar only show at the community college. Lots of great cars there. Lots of wing cars for my friends and I to drool over.

After last nights show, i tend to agree. Its either a god complex or a sense of humor that takes some getting used to. Whatever it is i guess i'm getting used to it because the show kept my attention. Something i never got into but always wondered about was the complete history of my cars. I wonder what ever happened to the original 440, or what is the story behind the bent left splash shield and all the evidence on the inside of the drivers door from a dent puller. It was cool to watch them research that stuff.
