graveyard carz

Ok, tonight's episode was a bit redeeming. And he went over the six pack bee which I couldn't get enough of. Was that it? Was this the last episode of the season? Hope not, wanna see what happens to the 71 cuda.

Tonight's episode was cool. Can't wait to see the Cuda burning rubber.

I like the fact that Mark was confirming/documenting or going over the green 69.5 A12 Super Bee a little "finally", it's been freaken' teasing me all season now...LOL...

saw about 3 and a half seconds of what looked like a gorgeous 6 pack Superbee before the whole "chips" drama kicked in...

they finally show a little about documenting/confirming the car, the green 69.5 A12 Super Bee 440ci Six Pack, Dana 60, 4 speed car, it was in tonight's show "Phantasm 'Cuda"

I think it's "Welby" and not "Welby's", which leads me to believe that it might be a town name and not a person.

Let's hope Mark got the message that the real interest is the cars, his knowledge and not his ego.

Wow positive reviews for once! I have it tevo'd so I'll have to check it out at lunch.

And it's a possibility that season 3 will have less bs and more cars. I've noticed their Facebook page gets slammed all the time with people complaining and asking for more mopar cameratime :eusa_think:

Wishful thinking, but I highly doubt it will be much different, at all... especially if they are starting the season with some stupid, director or cast of a poorly made 70's horror flick Phantasm, that car they are working on it's not even the real Phantasm car, just a poor & not even close clone or just a regular restoration they are calling the Phantasm car, that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie, except they were both Quadruple Black....

I have last nights episode on the DVR, the only way to watch it, IMO. I'll try to get through it tonight. Like nearly everyone, I've been drooling ever since I first saw the Bee.

Lol I noticed that too, it's definitely a bad@$$ car and well done but it doesn't look anything like the car from the movie. Unless its a car actually used in the movie, or at least actually cloned, it's just a black '71 'Cuda.

And that's probably true, "the powers that be" would probably drop the show the second they started showing a decent amount of tech.

It is a very nice car, it's just not the Phantasm movie car at all, just more lame Markisms...LOL...

OK Budnicks my friend. I am gonna have to take you to task on this one. The Phantom Cuda movie was a B Movie and has a large cult following. Now if you take the stance that what Graveyard Carz is attempting to do here, that their attempt has no meaning, then the same can be said for the Charger in Crazy Mary, and the Kowalski/Vanishing Point Car. And you can include countless other B Grade Car movies and TV shows for that matter. No it's not the real Car I agree. But then neither are the others I have mentioned. It adds some flavor to the show and if Mark can pull off a really nice representation then great for him. Now if it were the Brady Bunch Station Wagon, and he was doing his interpretation of the car, would you still be thinking the same? For what it is worth, I have never seen the Phantasm mover so I cannot comment on the exact car that was used. Just keep in mind that this is Mark's baby and interpretation that had a significant impact on him back then and this is how he remembers it now. Besides...I believe the owners wanted this exact representation to be done. It's all Good in the Neighborhood.......cr8crshr/Tuck:blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1:

Yep still an awesome car actually one of my favorites from the show. And agreed on the B/cult movie thing, in a lot of respects they could be called crappy but I like them anyway, as you can see by DMCL as my picture on here lol :icon_thumleft:

Actually caught last night show. Was decent enough for me to keep watching and can honestly say it was pretty good. Lot of good information; like checking the originality on the Bee, to repairing the door. Pretty informative. If the show was always like that, I would record and watch regularly.

I still love ya dude.... Hey I'm a big fan of some cult movies, like the ones you listed, true car movies... Phantasm isn't a good one too me, it was barely featured in the movie, but the movies your talking about were centered around the driver & cars, but too each their own, that's my opinion.... I'm sure that Mark loves some aspect of the notoriety, that the director is bestowing on him, he is a complete narcissist, but the Phantasm car was modified with fender flares & a sun roof & jacked up ALA 70 style & had Keystones or Cragers with wide tires too, the only thing that the two cars have in common is they are both 71 340`cuda's & both quadruple black... the rest is just more lame BS/GYC Markism's, fake contrived chit...
