It happened. But it was a Charger - and it was Wyoming -- and it was 1969 -- and it was an Airstream.

Hmm... my '70 was black. I haven't seen it in 28 years.

When I was a kid in the 70's our family went camping in Colorado with one of those popup campers. Our family car at the time was a Black 69 Coronet RT with a hemi and a 4 speed. We would pull into the camp ground and us kids would run to the pool and dad would break out the cleaning stuff for the car.

Yeah, you don't see this use for these old cars often these days but it is EXACTLY the kind of thing I would do. In fact, I had a custom built receiver put on my 66 Charger recently. It is hidden behind the license plate and is incorporated into the rear frame cross member. The shop that did it for me asked "why do this to this car?" my response was "why not? You never know what I may want to pull some day."

Quite a while back, I pulled a pink pop-up trailer with my spitfire orange Road Runner. The folks in Des Moines, K.C. and then St. Louis got an eye full of color from that combo. What kids won't do! Enjoy what you have. DRIVE IT!
