Hagerty hit the ball out of the park on their newest video production, that of the
famous "Black Ghost" '70 Challenger R/T SE 426 hemi of the Qualls family.
WELL worth the watch - be forewarned though, it has parts that will yank on your
heartstrings pretty hard:

Moparedtn, thanks for that video! Being from the northern suburb of Detroit, we heard many tales about this car but never got to see it in action. We would go out on weekends cruising Woodward and the lower part of Gratiot just to try to see if we could get a glimpse of the Black Ghost but never got lucky. Hence, it became a myth to us back then and some years after. Glad to see the car is still in the family. Thanks again.

Wow, that was awesome, thanks for sharing, love the fact that it is unrestored, was barely able to keep from crying, very touching story.
Indeed - and I will admit to shedding one or two when he was talking about his father being his hero.
One can't help but relate such things to our own experiences, which got me thinking about my own Pop.

Shoot, I thought this was going to be about my dark younger days....lol. :bananaweed:

Saw that car at MCACN in 18. Thanks for posting Ed.

Quite a cool story. Does the Son still own the car? Hope he does.

Yes and according to him, he always will - it's destined to be handed down to his own son, the 3rd generation.

Well done!! Thanks for sharing!!

Oh I seen it alright, and I gotta say it is a very cool video with a very very cool car and owner with history and significance too. He knew what boxes to check off the list, thank you very much for sharing!
