Header bolt #2 cyl - WTH !

I'm kinda wondering why a motor home would have headers instead of manifolds.
The doghouse and inside of that motor home would be hot as hell.

As a kid growing up our motor home was a Dodge cruise air with a 440. With plain 'ol manifolds it got hot inside That thing whilst drivin'

Somebody had changed them out,,,,,same dilemna with bolts as Tori is having.....my tubes had the **** beat out of them for clearancing everrywhere. I've had 5 Mopar class c's(Dodge/Fireball right now w/360) All except the one BB were 360 w/ stock manifolds. I'll stay with the OEM manifolds any day of week, never had the OEM's crack. All had 4:10 rear gears....PLENTY of pulling power....3+ grand @ 55 mph really sucks though & forget any decent gas mileage(never better than 7 mpg regardless where my foot was at w/ throttle,,,,freeway or town, it didn't matter) I'm either changing the rear gear on the Fireball or try to find a remote overdrive unit. My 74 Dodge/Tioga did hole shot a Lexus IS 300 consistently though.

So as to not confuse anyone else in the future, those are too large at the hex. See page two for the set i've ordered that have the smaller hex.

Even if you have a bit of tube clearance sometimes a little tool modification makes life a lot easier.

id say a custom ground down ring spanner is needed , as for getting it out probably have to remove all bolts and remove it with the headers as a unit . once you get it off some more " clearancing " might be in order

Agree on that. Our Cruise air would pass anything but a gas station.
Quite often we would only drive at night, cooler better gas mileage. The only A/C in it was an 110v unit.
Oh the great memories in a Dodge Motor Home...

Just glanced through the replies, but the custom made tool is your answer. I've made a few over the years. In this case, I've ground the tips and contour of an open end wrench just enough to turn the bolt head.

The issue with a box end is that there's no clearance between the bolt head and header tube to get the wrench over. Been there.

The one with the cut out is severely weakened, but may work.

There are new open 12 point ratcheting wrenches, but I bet they're too big as well.
