I didn`t read all these posts. No way the price for a complete stand alone hellcat engine could be 10 grand, did I miss something? If anyone wants to donate a stand alone set up., I`ll show u how to put it my 3278 lbs. 68 barracuda . We`ll call it , " el screamo " ! LOL

It’s $20k+

You have to ask yourself, which is cooler a Hellcat emblem on the fender or a blower sticking out of the hood.

Habib, you're back!!!! Where you been man???

My Apologies, R/C. I like to take periodic Breaks from "Social" media at times. Hard to break a All mopar forumn tho. Damn hard...You posted this meme one time for me and i kept it ever since. I was Truly Honored.

You can buy that hellcat crate for under $16K currently. I bought 2 for under $15K complete with all the accessories, both went to other folks as I am sticking with a a 572 Gen 2 old school hemi in my 68 dart. Those Gen 3 motors are a nice set up however.

10K is a steal! You can't build 700hp for that!
I`m with BeeKool on the price, no way under $20,000. I built aprox. 723 horsepower for around $10 to $11,000 . $1000 / machine work $2000 for cnc ported raised port heads, $2100 for a race balanced 505" stroker kit, $1000 for solid roller and lifters, $3000 for fuel inj. , paid $500 for a complete 440/727 to start with. Used alum funny car pan w/ single p/u, Leaves gaskets and small parts to support it.

I actually bought mine through my local dealer. I suspect I paid a little over cost as I have done significant business with them. If you go on eBay or moparts various deals exist. I think the latest one I saw was just under 15k for the motor, not sure about the other items necessary to make the thing run.

Check out high horse performance or modern muscle xtreme. A lot of the late model shops are stocking them

As much as I like my 2012 Challenger R/T. I would love a Hellcat Challenger but not in my budget. I still prefer old school. I still would rather have mine 2ND Gen Hemi that i have in my 70' Challenger. Even mine N/A Dodge's new Demon hasn't even caught up to it yet on horse power on pump gas. But true, I can't get 20 MPG. LOL
