Best 80's Mopar.
Chrysler was selling so many M bodies that at one point they literally couldn't build enough, and contracted American Motors (this was before Chrysler bought AMC) to help manufacture them at American Motors' Kenosha assembly plant. There actually is a "For M bodies only" site (OK for F/M/J...).
But FBBO and FABO are way more active.
The 86 5th Ave I bought for a donor car ran great as late as 2015.
I don't have enough leg room in M body cars, though and the interior and vinyl top was trashed.
I bought it for the disk brakes and roller cam 318 (and LU trans), and found a whole lot of other parts I could possibly use.
Apparently they sold a LOT of M body 5th Avenues as I still see them occasionally at U pull yards.
I wonder what the actual production number was.
