Help! Brakes get tight and hot

Same problem I had a while back and finally solved and is posted as a "sticky thread" "Drum Brakes Grabbing - Solved!"

You can see how the leverage point (top of lining) is lower than the wheel cyl arm.
It is self energizing hard on that point

Use boded lining instead of riveted.
Riveted have a tendency to crack at the rivet holes and can loose pieces of lining.
Bonded last longer and will not groove the drums if you let them go to long.
Please update to a much safer dual system. Disc are a real plus too.

Great advice. Just trying to make it work for now. Dual master and discs are definitely in the plan. The current master/hard tubes/hoses/wheel cylinders etc are all new.
