The only down side to the 6bbl engines were the rod bolts were not upgraded when the rods were upgraded. IIRC, the 4bbl engines also got the 6bbl rods....and the problem of rod failures didn't go away.
Agreed and thanks. That hardware would be at the top of the list if I were interested in building up a "stock-ish" 440.
Instead, I believe the build I have a MOPAR favoring and experienced shop doing is probably the ONLY build I'll ever be able to do, so I'm using the best people and parts I can, with a "redesigned, improved" Bill Mitchell aluminum RB block as the foundation. My Roadrunner is above all the one thing I have the best opportunity to enjoy.
Rowing the gears really adds to my enjoyment and it serves as a benchmark of my skills.
