Hey gent's,

Trying to find a power window motor for my 1968 Coronet...Needless to say it's been fun just trying to find one, but I need to know the Part# for the drivers side rear power window motor. Also I see that '68 seems to be a last year before switching to a different part#. Does anyone out there know if a 1969 will work in a '68, or what other years may work? As of now my window back there is stationary (secured in place till I can find a motor). Old one I was having rebuilt mysteriously grew legs...Thinking about calling Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Thanks in advance..

Hey Will,
It looks to me to be 3004 123

I'm not sure which other years fit, but I think it's a pretty broad range. I had a Hollander manual, but it "grew legs" as well. Must be global warming.

Is that joint in Florida I gave you the one that witnessed this evolutionary feat of appendage addendum ?

LOL! No pete...Not them guys. It was a company here local that said for $30 bucks, "she'd be good as new"...Or maybe it was "she'd be as good as gone"...

Thanks for the P/N...

Been researching the elusive motors.....

Number on the Power Window Casting area are 2520903 for left hand, 2520902 RH. Now that I have the entire P/N you kindly provided, looks like these motors were put in Chrysler's a long time..all the way up to the late 80's in some cars. Only difference to front/rear looks to be the mounting bracket with nutplate (removable).

If anyone needs it, here's the DORMAN P/N for these motors

LH 742-302
RH 742-303

Shop around you can find them online for $40-50 bucks new or even go down to Twilight Zone and pick them up. Don't waste the couple hundred bucks on the crusty titanic looking ones on flea bay, that flip a coin if they work or not...

Thanks again Pete...answered my question

It is my understanding that the same motors were used through the sixties and right up until '76. There were just left and rights and the mounting bracketry was different so all you need to do is find a good motor and swap your bracelets onto it and you're good to go. I have even heard you can buy these new still so check around. I have replaced several in my Imp, some more then once. Next time I need one I plan to seek out new as the old ones can be problematic. A the gear is mounted to a big chunk of rubber and these have a tendency to separate over time so the newer the better.

Fords used the same motors, so that may be another avenue (even from the Ford dealership parts department). In any case, the motor your looking for is not rare, unless you are looking for a NOS unit. Even e-bay can provide a bolt in functional equivalent for quite reasonable.
