Yup. Brine shrimp, little flies and very high salinity..kind of a high desert environment. I *believe* it's the oldest lake in North America..

I'm in Pennsylvania. I get around! (The picture was from my 2015 trip across country in my 70 Road Runner.)

I'll hopefully do another trip across country in spring of 2022. My second trip across country has now been postponed twice, so I am really focusing on making sure 2022 happens.

Pretty close. As I remember it, it also had some really strange formations near and in the water too.

Saw those. Thanks for reminding me of that vacation. Las Vegas, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Santa Barbara, Redwoods Lake Tahoe, Death Valley and back to Vegas. Tired now.
