Clint actually had a pretty good tenor voice. At one time he was talking with Sonny Bono about recording an album in his studio but scheduling never worked out.

Clint got his start at age 16 singing in a honky tonk bar in Oakland, playing for pizza and meals. He used that experience for the character he played in "Honkytonk Man" (1982).
