I would rather keep good tires on the car than have something that is just out of control and dangerous.

Even more important on a motorcycle!
After sliding out in a curve on my 2010 Harley-Davidson V-Rod I replaced the Michelin Scorchers with Continental Race Attacks and got the Conti Race Attacks for my wife's V-Rod too. GREAT tire and when you ride like I do traction is the only important aspect of a tire! Way better than injury or ☠

Agreed. When I’m cruising at 2000 rpm and 40mph and hammer it, I want to know the car’s gonna stay on the road. That’s where the cheater slicks pay up.

They're in great shape, no problem with wet streets so far (YRMV),

I pretty much white knuckle it when the roads are wet, but truth is I’ve never had an issue either. Course, I keep it at 45 mph and off the interstate in the wet.
